It's tempting to explain this by claiming that fundamentalist communities consume porn in secret and act righteous in public. But this is only online porn, and only from one provider, so it's probably a better measure of the varying ability of those communities to suppress paper porn distribution in their larger communities, and thus shift consumption online. Idaho is only a little less Mormon than Utah, after all.
I posted this because I think it's amusing that someone put together a geographic visualisation of pornographic consumption. I haven't read the article or the source material.
