This is an idea I've been wanting to act on for a while. There aren't a lot of screencasts around on Groovy. With that in mind, I've created groovycasts.org and to kick things off I've recorded Get Your Groovy On. It's hard to cover much in 5 minutes, so this overview doesn't linger to go into detail. I'll gladly deep dive on a topic, though. What's of most interest to you? Let me know.
Here's the screencast (now with corrected audio):

Hi,
It's great idea to have resource fully dedicated to Groovy.
Here is the list of topics interested for me:
1) we can "translate" some interesting topics from http://railscasts.com to groovy/grails.
2) metaprogramming comparison: from Ruby to Groovy.
3) Groovy as scripting language
4) lightweight development in Groovy (vim, emacs, etc., no IDE
5) Groovy in Java world, some case studies (automation, testing, etc.)
6) refactoring Java code to idiomatic Groovy
Hi Orest,
It's good to hear what you're interested in. Of most appeal to me personally are 3 through 6. I think Grails is already pretty well represented, so I'm not going to go out of my way to add more material there - although I'll gladly post other people's screencasts.
Cheers,
Merlyn
Great initiative! I've just twittered about it! oh, wait, you still don't have twitter :D
Nice to drop you a line again. Any plans to visit Spain? :)
